Charlene Nero, a licensed paralegal since 2014, exemplifies commitment and leadership within the legal field.  During the COVID-19 pandemic, Charlene led the legal department of the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA) Local 3000, representing healthcare and frontline workers.  Her dedication to safeguarding the rights of these key workers and ensuring their safety at work showcases her remarkable professionalism and devotion.

In 2021, Charlene's career reached new heights when she assumed the role of national president of LIUNA Local 3000 and was promoted to senior director from legal director.  As president, she leads nearly ten thousand union members, with a significant proportion being women employed in healthcare.  Her responsibilities as senior director involve managing the legal and organizing departments and playing a crucial role in collective bargaining within hospital and long-term care sectors.
